It's hard enough remembering everything we need to pack for ourselves, the last thing you want is to have to go out and buy more camping supplies. What you need to pack for your pet will vary in different seasons. For example in the summer you'll definitely need to pack your dog a water bowel to ensure they stay hydrated and maybe even their own tent, to keep them out of the sun. Whilst in the winter they'll need a warm and comfy bed to curl up in. Most importantly your dog needs to have as much fun as you, so remember to pack them plenty of toy and balls to enjoy around your campsite.
Bringing your pets blanket with them will provide them with comfort and warmth, whilst bringing a part of their home with them. A comfy bed is the perfect spot for your pet to relax after a long hike or whilst your cooking dinner. Blankets can easily be packed inside your bag. If you're going camping in the winter it would be a good idea to get a dog jacket as well. You may even want to keep the blanket next to your sleeping bag, so your dog can sleep close to you.
Be prepared to pick up after your dog, especially around your campsite. Bag dispensers are a lightweight product that can be clipped onto your bag or dogs collar. An affordable promotional product you can keep using for camping trips in the future.
If your dog gets lots during your camping trip it's ideal for them to be wearing a tag, so they can easily be returned safely to you. Pet tags can be customized with any contact numbers or important health information.
It's always best to be prepared for the worse, you want to be able to manage any injuries before you make it to the vet. Many human first aids kits will even work for dogs, so you don't have to worry about bringing to much with you.
